Bio:
Paddy Harrington first joined Bruce Mau Design in 2002 after a circuit in the broadcasting, architecture, and advertising industries.
While at Bruce Mau Design, Paddy has led several projects including the design of a vision and masterplan project for the Holy City of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, a visual identity system for the Live Positively global sustainability platform for Coca-Cola and the fan experience design for the New York Giants and New York Jets New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey.
Other projects he's been involved with include the Museum of Biodiversity in Panama with Frank Gehry's office; design-driven strategic consulting for McDonald's USA; a new museum experience in Mexico City; and the design of an experience, partnership, and brand position for the American Airlines Arena in Miami.
His specialty is the application of design methodology to a diverse range of business and cultural challenges with the objective of finding holistic, innovative, and powerful stories that become the foundation for everything from strategy to brands to products to experiences.
He has spoken at several universities, including Harvard and Brown, as well as a number of other events, on the subject of design and design thinking.
His writing, film making, and other projects have been recognized with several awards.
Paddy has a degree in English literature from the University of Ottawa and a master's degree in architecture from the University of Toronto.
He lives in Toronto.
