Marcus Graham Project Recognizes MDC Partners with 2016 Change Agency Award Celebrating the Cultivation of Diverse Talent

NEW YORK – October 20, 2016 – The Marcus Graham Project has honored MDC Partners Inc. (NASDAQ: MDCA) with the organization’s third annual Change Agency Award, designed to recognize a corporation that has contributed significant time, talent and resources to cultivating the next generation of diverse talent in the field of advertising, media and marketing.

MDC Partners has worked in partnership with the Marcus Graham Project since 2010, as a partner to the iCR8 Boot Camp, supporting the development of young talent through established thought leaders from across the MDC Partners network. The award was presented at the Marcus Graham Project’s fifth annual Lavender Hill Gala this past weekend in Dallas, TX.

“At MDC Partners, we are dedicated to empowering the world’s most entrepreneurial and creative talent to drive innovation for our clients. To live up to this mission, developing a diverse and inclusive team with outstanding experience, capability and perspective is absolutely essential.” said Scott Kauffman, Chairman and CEO of MDC Partners. “We are proud of our long-standing relationship with the Marcus Graham Project and the incredible work they do identifying and preparing high-potential young people for successful careers in advertising. Receiving the Change Agency Award is a true honor and we look forward to being a continued part of making this industry a more inclusive one for the benefit of talent, marketers and agencies alike.”

“With people of color entering advertising agencies at a declining rate, it has never been more imperative to invest in diverse talent,” said Lincoln Stephens, CEO, Marcus Graham Project. “MDC Partners and its network of agencies has long been committed to our efforts to ensure that the next generation of talent from all backgrounds has access to the best training, education and mentors to achieve success in the industry. We are grateful for MDC’s commitment, proud of our partnership, and thrilled to recognize MDC as the recipient of our third Change Agency Award.”
